Brief summary of life of a Senior Team Capatin Basketball Player

+My senior year basketball season was a blur to me. I remember when season first started I was unsure on what to do. I came in being team captain for two years and thinking that I had to play basketball for myself. Basketball practices started off as me ball hogging the ball and making as many points as I could. I knew I could make all my shots so I never considered passing the ball to my team mates. After evaluating the way I have been playing I realized I had to sacrifice me being "Kobe Bryant" and give the team more opportunities and to trust them throughout the game. I gained a better understanding of a captain and how to be a better player by having conversations with my Coach about the team. Half way through the season I made a decision to not only play for me but to play for my team as well. I made a promise to myself that I would be there for my team no matter what, even if it meant to give up the winning shot, sit the bench, pass instead of shooting, as long as we received a win. The varsity basketball team this year wasn't just a team to me but a family. I gained so much respect for each of them and loved this season so much despite the differences we all had. Coach Lynch was honestly the best coach I could ever have. Even if he was mean to me at times I realized he only wanted me to grow better as an individual. He taught me how to pick myself up when bad things happen in life, he is like my second father. I gained so much respect for him throughout the season and even though I know I am his favorite he will always be my favorite coach. Life of basketball player is horrible but I love it so much. I realized that having a role of a team captain is a big responsibility and to embrace your talent that was given to you should be shown.

All star high school basketball game

The 7th annual Desert valley all star game is for senior high school basketball players throughout the Inland Empire and desert areas. These basketball players play in the event called "The All Star Game" which they get recognized by colleges for their athletic performances. On March 29 the game was held at Vista Murrieta High school and two of La Sierra high school's seniors were chosen to represent our school. Senior, Tavia Jones averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks a game during season and is an incredible basketball player. As she was chosen to play in the All Star game she brought the same amount of energy just played more aggressive. The outcome of her performance throughout the All Star game was an impressive 8 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Andy Shade averages about 15 points, 2 steals, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists a game through season. He was chosen to play in the All star game as well and his performance was an impressive 14 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. These two talented basketball players did an amazing job this season and have the athletic ability to play college basketball in the future.

The risk of basketball

A fellow college basketball player, Kevin Ware was recently injured during a final four game. The game started of very intense as every college basketball game but Ware was playing very well. Throughout the game, Ware was injured after attempting to block a in the Duke game. After going up in a vertical forum he landed on his leg resulting in tibia bone protruding from his skin. As he layed on the floor screaming in pain and the reaction from his team mates were unbearable but the words that came out of Ware's mouth was,"WIN!WIN!WIN!". The crowd and hos team mates cried to see fellow Kevin Ware in pain and agony. As Ware left, his team mates ended up containing their momentum and receiving the win.

Heat loses their amazing streak of 27 wins!

The Miami heat is currently going through a successful yet hard working season so far. Ever since their chemistry has improved since they received the NBA championship title for the 2011-2012 season, the Heat has been improving more and more.
As most basketball players know the Los Angeles Lakers holds the most consecutive wins of thirty-three wins but, the way the Miami Heat has been playing offensively and defensively they have made it to an impressive twenty- seven winning streak. Last night's  game against the Chicago Bulls was indeed a very intense game. When the Miami Heat lost to the Chicago Bulls everyone was shocked only because the Heat have one of the best records in the league and most of the players on the Bulls are injured.  The Chicago Bulls game into this game with a better defense and better offense which resulted into a win against the Miami Heat. After the Heat losing their winning streak it brought more confidence to the Chicago bulls and brought a realization to the way the Heat played that game. The playoffs are coming soon, will the Miami Heat win the Championship title for the second year in a row? Will the Bulls come back as a stronger team?

Gasol is back to the Lakers!

Gasol has returned to the Los Angeles Lakers after being on the bench since February 5,2013 but is having Gasol back in the starting line up beneficial for the Lakers?
After coming off the bench for the Wizards v.s Lakers as the starting power forward, Laker's fans were probably thinking that this game would be a easy win but it was not. In the previous games the Lakers encountered were better offensively and defensively but The head coach Mike D'Antoni said in the press conference that the Lakers still have more improvements and adjustments that need to be made as soon as possible. The Lakers have been struggling throughout their season but as Gasol was out due to an injury, the Lakers have managed to make the eighth seat and win more games with a smaller line up. The wizards game was indeed a shock when the ending result was 100 Lakers- 103 Wizards. Having Gasol play that game didn't really help, there were to many fast break lay ups and easy shots that were attempted and succeeded. Before Pau Gasol came back into the line up, the Laker's Chemistry was very decent up and down the stretch. Their offense and defense now have to adapt to Gasol's return but, will that help the Lakers throughout the rest of their season?!
